Moonlight Suite
by Aric Albone

When someone has the patience to watch quietly and listen on a

clear and moonlit night, Bellows beach comes to life with song and

dance as it once did for me many years ago.  On that musical night,

the clouds were held at bay by the gently blowing trade winds,

allowing the blue tinted light of the full moon to filter down through

the canopy of coconut riddled palms.  The bluish light sparkled and

danced over the roving swells of the ocean's waves, creating a ballet

combined of both light and sea.  With the moon as a celestial

spotlight, an army of scurrying crabs executed an intricate waltz as

they gracefully set about performing their nightly routine.  A gentle

breeze whispered through the palm leaves, creating a soft hum that,

when combined with the thrum of the waves, composed a vast

symphony of water and air.   The cymbal like crash of the waves on

the jagged rocks kept a strict beat as the shadows of swaying palm

leaves mimicked the movements of a conductor's baton.  Out in the

distance, the warm light of the moon cast its fiery glow upon a lone

island, making it appear as if Neptune himself was attending the

tropical concert--a concert where only the most patient listener can

appreciate the melody of the sea and the harmony of a moonlit night.
