Aric Albone's Museum of Art, Antiques, Antiquities and Ancient Artifacts

1990 - 2003

I started collecting when I joined the Navy and I have expanded my interests through the years with my travels.  Because of that, many of the items shown here have been collected from around the world.  Even when I was at my first duty station at Pearl Harbor, my friends would refer to my room in the barracks as "Albone's Museum".   I already had a growing collection of swords, books, and art work.  Now I have moved on with an interest in ancient antiquities - primarily Roman Glass and ancient pottery.  But I still keep on the look out for any old weapons I can find, though after September 11th I am more hesitant to try and bring them into the county.  Gone are the days where I can throw an old Cap and Ball dueling pistol in my luggage without and worries.  Of course, even before Sept 11th things weren't always easy, such as the time customs in Slovenia would not let me take a flint lock rifle out of the country.  I still miss that gun and have never seen another like it and probably never will.  There aren't too many flint lock bear hunting rifles with gold inlay along the entire barrel - a barrel so heavy that anyone besides Arnold Swartzeneger would have to prop it up.  Oh well, I win some, I lose some.  Anyway, here is my small but growing collection divided into several categories for your easy browsing.  I hope you enjoy and if you ever want to see anything in person, just drop me a line...also, almost everything is for sale for the right price!
